New York in the 1920s: the biggest binge and the longest hangover in history. From gangsters, short skirts and the Charleston to booming stock markets and financial mayhem on Wall Street. Of course, these exhilarating times have to end and, when the Crash finally comes, the shockwaves are felt around the world…. Meanwhile, three brothers from Ireland are caught up in the crazy rhythm of the roaring twenties. Dan becomes a stockbroker on the New York Stock Exchange while Tim, a priest-to-be, finds his vocation severely tested on the Lower West Side. Then there is Michael who, backed by a psychotic gang boss, hits the big time as a popular singer. What does the future hold for these three brothers?
